Poetic Bends

Gasping & Clawing

We’ve come so far

In this space amongst space

To find our own place

For our very own face

And yet we forget

Just all that we are

When there is nothing to hold

yet a whole world to behold

We become just a thing

That’s gasping and clawing

For a station to stop

And a train to hop

We fall to the ground

On a foreign compound

And find that no life is the same
