Your Confidence is Showing

Tell us all about your best confidence outfit. Don’t leave out the shoes or the perfect accessories.

I had to think about this one for a while. I’m not one to pick out an outfit solely on the idea that it might come across as sexy. In fact, I don’t like to think of myself as sexy. I’d rather think of myself as being confident and if that helps me to come across as sexy then so be it. Being an avid watcher of television, I’ve come to realize that many of the reasons I find people on these shows to be sexy isn’t their initial appearance, although those things certainly help, but is instead their confidence. ElijahMikaelson

Take Elijah Mikaelson from The Originals as an example. Daniel Gillies, the actor who plays this character, is a fine specimen indeed and many people, including myself, find him to be incredibly sexy right off the bat. However, when I see him every week on television, he comes sexier through the way he carries himself. Yes, he may wear really nicely fitted suits every episode but it’s the way he airs his confidence in those suits that makes him sexy. He knows exactly who he is and who the character is that he’s playing. That being said, he could be in dressed in sweats and a t-shirt and still have the ability to rip someone’s heart out of their chest cavity and still be sexy if his confidence is there.

The same goes for anyone else. If you’re wearing an outfit that could be considered very sexy to someone else, the only way they’re going to think it’s sexy is if you feel confident wearing it. If you think you look unappealing in someway then your confidence will hide out inside you and so will your sexiness.

It’s all about your own self-perception. If you feel confident then other people will see that confidence. No outfit will make you sexy unless you’re comfortable wearing it. Finding comfort in your own skin is what guides you to your hidden confidence.

Blogging 201: Goals and Plans for Success

Day 1: consider what you want to accomplish with your blog. Write down three concrete goals you want to achieve.

  1. Publish 4 times a week for the months of April and May.
  2. Spend 30 mins each week visiting my followers blogs, reading their posts and commenting on their work. I’m always looking for new blogs to follow but I shouldn’t ever abandon those who follow me and willingly read my work. They deserve my attention, as well, for being the special people that they are.
  3. Establish a new Weekly Feature by May 1st and publish that feature each week. I’ve been thinking along the lines of doing something with favorite quotes or with poetry since that it something that I would love to improve upon.

Time to get down to business.
