Catching Fire

“You’ve haven’t hurt people, Katniss. You’ve given them an opportunity. They just have to be brave enough to take it.”

So I went and saw the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire last night! My friend, who wasn’t able to go to the premiere with us told me that I couldn’t say anything to her about the movie until she sees it tomorrow morning. I couldn’t even scream at her about how insanely defined Josh Hutcherson’s jaw is in this film. Or how awesome (and tan) Sam Claflin did on his American accent. Or how much I just wanted to give Gale a hug and make him feel better. I’m not allowed to tell her just how adorable and perfect everyone was in this movie. But that doesn’t mean I can’t go on and on about it on here. Haha, I’ve found a loop hole!

Now, with that established, let’s just say that it was amazing. In fact, it was more then I could have possibly hoped for or imagined. It was exactly like the book with the exception of teeny tiny tweeks that had to be made. But these changes didn’t alter the story in anyway that people could possibly complain about. It was absolutely perfect. The additions to cast that were made, Johanna and Finnick, were perfect and they only helped to enhance this great story. Josh, Jennifer and Liam were no one other than Peeta, Katniss and Gale. They, once again, made this movie perfect and make me love these movies even more. My heart was pounding the entire time. It is totally worthy of the great reviews that it is getting. I’m very impressed with a franchise (and the middle film, to boot) to be getting this much positive attention. This movie was done beautifully and I cannot wait to see it again!

And I will continue to say this for as long as she is an actress: Jennifer Lawrence is an absolute dream in front of the camera.

For starters don’t we love those loop holes,it comes to our rescue when we truly need them. But then again it can catch you off guard too.Now for the movie you love it and wouldn’t mind watching it again and again.I get that as well. Try not to infuriate your friend, because ‘you really need friends.’ This is my comment for your wonderful post.

  2. Jennifer Lawrence was fantastic in “Winter’s Bone” too. Sounds like a good flick. I’m too cheap to go to premiers, but it’ll be on Redbox by summer right?

I’m cheap too, but movies are something that I’m always willing to spend money on. It’s totally worth it! And yeah, I’m sure it will be out by summer. 😀

  3. It was amazingly well done! It is rare to see a book to movie rendition be so successful! I want to go see it again!

Yes, it was nearly almost better than the book. I’ve seen it twice already and can’t wait to see it a third time.
